![]() Stash turns 30 this month and we're marking the occasion by setting yet another record for the amount of inspiration we can squeeze onto a DVD – over two and a half hours of exceptional animation, vfx, motion design, behind the scenes extras and music downloads. The over-stuffed 70-minute main program delivers an incredibly diverse range of work from top studios and important newcomers. Some highlights: the stunning new Lloyds BTS spot from Studio AKA and director Marc Craste, strangely brilliant Resfest10 work from Transistor Studios and Amautalab, U2 videos from FilmTeknarna and the Mill NY, entomological experiments for Chris Clark from 1st Ave Machine, and Digital Domain's controversial resurrection of Orville Redenbacher. This issue's BONUS FILMS are the highly anticipated – and highly collectable – second round of the PSST! PASS IT ON project; 70 artists from 12 countries working in 27 teams to collaborate on nine fun, unpredictable, and brilliant little films. This is the world premiere and a definite must-see. The six BONUS MUSIC downloads on Stash 30 come from none other than London's Warp Records and include ear-massaging new work from Clark, Plaid, Jamie Lidell, Born Ruffians, Nightmares on Wax, and Broadcast. Also included this month: the Stephen Arnold Music Showcase featuring the studio's latest commercial and broadcast work plus downloadable sample tracks. Check out the rest of the DVDs in the Stash series! |
