                    Unpublished Interview with Chuck Jones, Circa 1987

                <description>
                    At the time of this interview, Chuck Jones enjoyed semi-retirement
                    at or near his home in Southern Orange County, every once-in-awhile
                    dipping back into the art he cares for so much. My conversation with
                    him dealt with the industry in general, where it's headed and how it
                    evolved. I also posed questions on how he began, first an animator and
                    then later as a director. I wanted to get a glimpse of how this man's
                    mind worked and what was in store, as far as his career was concerned.

                    We thought it would be especially interesting if Sam Chen, whose
                    film Eternal Gaze won the Best Animated Film award at SIGGRAPH 2003,
                    were to interview the winner of the SIGGRAPH 2004 Jury Honors award,
                    Chris Landreth. Like Chen's film, Landreth's Ryan is also about an artist.
                    We are delighted to present their discussion here.

                    Welcome to the fantastic, sculpted, melted and twisted world of clay
                    animation! Of all the mediums in animation, it is clay that offers
                    a sensual experience for the animator and the audience. It's a primal
                    substance brought to life by the hands of the animator. "Feats of Clay"
                    is coming soon only in theaters!

                    f8 by Jason Wen on DVD

                <description>
                    f8 is a science fiction film produced by Jason Wen. f8 was completed
                    over the course of 3 1/2 years, and is truly a tour-de-force of
                    computer-animation technique. Using a combination of Lightwave 3D
                    animation software with the Project: Messiah plug-in for rendering,
                    Photoshop and Nuendo, the film was composited in After Effects and edited
                    in Adobe Premiere. Jason crafted this hauntingly beautiful film with
                    the writing assistance of his brother Howard Wen, the art concepts of
                    Andrew Jones, and the music of Casey Hess and Don Relyea.
                    f8 screened at the 2001 SIGGRAPH computer animation conference, where
                    it won a Jury Award, as well as the Hollywood Film Festival, Prix Arts
                    Electronica (Austria) and many other festivals. It received a Gold Award
                    at the 2001 Japanese Digital Animation Festival.
